Processing Recyclables
Once shipments are received, the contents are sorted according to whether it is sellable, or should be dismantled and scrapped. Scrap materials are then sorted to determine how they will be recycled.
Precious metals are sorted for sale accordingly. While we currently have a market, we are working on developing better separation in order to improve efficiency as well as revenue.
Batteries are segregated and disposed of according to EPA standards and in the most cost-effective way possible.
Copper, aluminum, and steel are separated and sold on the scrap market.
Wood products are sorted according to how they will be recycled. Pallets are sold to local vendors. Spools and other wood products are dismantled for chipping and recycling.

Plastic products are sorted to be shredded for recycling. We recently purchased a hammer mill for this purpose.

Cardboard and paper are bailed for recycling at a local facility.
